Love The Planet is a new range of skin and hair care products are approved by the BUAV and The Vegan Society. Started back in 2002 by Laura McComiskie. What started as a kitchen based project quickly grew into a successful business with loyal customers all over the world.

Love The Planet believe in providing planet friendly products to suit every budget.  None of the products are tested on animals (yay!) and they use plant based raw materials from sustainable sources.  The Love The Planet range is also free from parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, mineral oils and artificial colours and fragrances.

So I tried a couple of there fabulous products from the range and here are my all time favourites.   I absolutely loved – and I mean LOVED – the Night Time Comfort Balm.  This balm is designed to soothe the senses with the calming effect of pure lavender essential oil.  OK, so i have to admit when I read Lavender was a main ingredient used I wasreluctant to lift the lid and honestly did expect the strong pungent scent of aroma that reminds me of when getting headaches and I drench my scalp in Lavender hoping my headache will be washed away.   With that in mind I was very pleasantly surprised when I used the Night Time Comfort Balm.  It actually smells really mild and not too ‘lavendery’ at all,  infact the scent is subtle and well balanced with organic sweet almond oil and organic cocoa butter.

Applied to the temples and wrists before bed it is meant to release a gentle fragrance to help you drift off to sleep.And it did exactly that. I cant get enough of this Balm and the blend of organic cocoa butter, sweet almond oil and beeswax is also great for moisturising dry and chapped skin.

When it comes to my face I do have to be very careful with what I use as I’ve suffered from dry sensitive skin all my life.  I’ve used tea tree based products in the past and they have usually been far too harsh for my skin and always left my face feeling tight and slightly flakey.  With that in mind I really was pleasantly surprised when I used the Love The Planet New Edition Cleansing Lotion, which moisturised my skin perfectly.

I think Laura McComiskie has really achieved something uniquely wonderful with her fantastic range and I must mention the sweet packaging;  I love the Little tins with their vintage inspired design!

Celebrity fans of Love the Planet include Kimberly Wyatt from The Pussycat Dolls and you really can see why.  I cant wait to try more of their products and they very reasonably priced for the quality.  I honestly could go on and on but you must try these for yourself to truly understand why I have fallen in love with Love The Planet!
