Trevor Sorbie “Beautiful Volume Range” – The So Darling Review
As you may have read recently my colleague Neely took a trip to Trevor Sorbie’s Covent Garden salon to see if their Curl Clinic could handle her thick head of hair!
It got me thinking since I’ve got the exact opposite problem as Neely; my hair is simply too fine! I have always looked at thickening products and shampoo’s and wondered if they actually work so after a little deliberation – and to be honest great desperation – I decided to try them.
After Neely’s glowing report from their salon I decided to try one of Trevor Sorbie’s range of thickening products and shampoos. On first glance they looked very appealing in their sunny yellow packaging combined with a refreshing smell.
The shampoo when used creates a thicker lather than the usual shampoos I have used, so you feel the products working instantly.
Once I washed my hair I used a combination of the leave in conditioner and volume booster and then preceded to blow dry my hair as normal. What was good about the products is that they have a heat protective ingredient in them so you don’t need to use any additional protector.
I sectioned each part of my hair separately and sprayed the leave in conditioner and volume booster to the roots of my hair. For an additional boost I also used the volumising mousse, again to the roots. The mousse can be used on damp hair when straightening or to create curls.
Once I finished blow dying my hair the results were fantastic. My hair looked and felt thicker instantly without the feeling of heaviness. It had bounce and life and it felt great when my hair moved with me, something that my limp hair lacked.
The results, I’m pleased to say, didn’t just last temporarily as I thought they may do. My hair still had some of the bounce the next day!
After using the dry shampoo, it restored the fullness and bounce I initially had, and the hairspray fixed my hair perfectly without cementing it in place.
The thickening products lifted my hair at the roots, yet it didn’t feel as though I had used any products at all.
You can’t help wanting to constantly touch your hair just to feel the bounciness!
It’s easy to get overwhelmed and overstock on grooming products, but with Trevor Sorbie’s thickening range, every product has a purpose.
I can honestly say that the thickening range works. It creates body and bounce without creating any heaviness, which to someone who has had to back comb their hair to create any volume brings great relief.
The products work great together but you can easily get a boost from using a combination of a couple of the products from the range.
And now the best news… Trevor Sorbie are currently offering three for two on several of their ranges including their volumising range! Buy direct from their website here, their salons or reputable high street stores like Boots.

I have been longing for bohemian waves for quite some time now and I could never ever find the perfect hair products to help make that happen but if it keeps the hair bouncy up until the next day then I will definately be purchasing the whole Trevor Sorbie range. What I love about this, is that it doesn’t weigh down the hair or make it feeled caked with products and that’s exactly what i need or more to the point that’s exactly what I want! thank you so much So Darling. xxx
