100 Years of Royal Ascot Fashion

It’s hats at the ready this week as one of horseracing’s most famous and fashionable fixtures, Royal Ascot, gets underway.   Starting on June 15th the famous Berkshire track opens it’s doors for 5 days as Britain’s brightest and best dressed turn out to place a bet, but more importantly be seen by the right people!

From the large trimmed hats at the turn of the century to the miniskirts of the sixties and the abstract extravagance of the eighties, if it’s worth wearing it’s being worn at Ascot!

To celebrate the 100th year of fashion at Royal Ascot, So Darling is taking a look back at the changing fashions at Ascot over the last century.
